event overview

During the event, Hatchet does various emotes which, if you do not follow, will result in AE's & DT's.

In addition, traps spawn in his room; in the two corners by Hatchet's stage, in the center, and in front of the ramp leading into the room.

After each "charge" emote, when Hatchet catches his breath, we have an opportunity to bring him over to the trap and capture him.

Each time Hatchet is trapped, it allows the raid to DPS him down another 20%; four trappings in total are needed.

For every time Hatchet is trapped, he spawns adds.

strat

First, make sure you have a new window open with it set to "other".

In addition, set up audio triggers for each of Hatchets emotes.

If you need help setting up an audio trigger, other window, or don't know Hatchets emotes, ask in the FLRaids channel.

The hardest part of this event is dealing with the emotes.

The MT will handle moving Hatchet into position and clicking the trap.

CC groups will be assigned to handle the adds that spawn following each trapping.

Everyone else will be on Hatchet.

Watch /rs carefully please.  Everytime Hatchet does a "Charge" emote, you need to back off and move away from him.

You don't want to be near Hatchet if he catches the person he's charging.

Those without AE blockers are going to find the kiting difficult.  This is one of the reasons we're backing off during charges.

class & group specific instructions

Some classes will be put in groups with others to handle certain aspects of the event, be it dealing with the adds that spawn, or charming of pets etc.

In brackets are the classes, or group(s) that will be given specific instructions to perform during this event.  It's important that, if you see your class listed, to visit the link and review the material to give you an idea what we need done.  The links below point to pages where these instructions are explained.

Emotes & Audio Triggers - (ALL Classes.  This is not optional, you MUST have these audio triggers set up and working)

Crowd Control Team - (Enchanters, Warriors, Paladins, Shadowknights, Clerics, Druids, Shaman)

MT Hatchet Trapping - (Main Tank on Hatchet - No one else does what this page explains)

important info - please read!

Watch Assist:

When to assist is extremely important during this event.  Our MT's have only a few seconds to move Hatchet towards a trap.  Doing an early engage at this point, hampers the tanks efforts for trapping.  Please always wait for the assist call in /rs.

Hatchet Kiting:

Stay away from Hatchet when someone gets the kite emote.  If he catches the person he's kiting, you will die.  It's that simple.
