bane weapon usage
This page is set up to describe what role the bane weapons play
during the MM event, and instructions for use. Only those who
hold bane weapons need be in the channel listed below. This helps
us gauge how many banes we have and co-ordinate clickers.
initial setup
In order for things to go smoothly and to expedite our setup prior to and during engagement, the channel will have a leader in charge of instructing what needs to be done.
All the associated chat will be co-ordinated in the following channel:
banes
Leader:
Thewun, Furro, Foxbird
Note: If the above leader(s) isn't online, someone else will be in charge of setting up banes and it'll be made clear who that person is in the channel.
For this particular event, the person in charge is carefully chosen
and it's important to please follow his / her instructions.
If you're not sure on any element of what's being explained, please ask
in the BANES channel. There's no need to be shy about anything,
if you ask in the channel, someone else may not have understood the
same thing and it benefits everyone by having it clarified.
event overview
The section below marked in RED, is what CC will be handling.
In this event, we have to deal with various adds before and after Mayong Mistmoore becomes active.
The initial adds are dealt with using bane weapon clicks.
In addition to these adds, after Mayong Mistmoore becomes active, voracious bats will spawn at timed intervals, similiar to the ones during Redfang event.
At different stages, bane clicks will harm Mayong when he enters a vulnerable or distracted state. However, which state he is in dictates how many clicks of a bane weapon will be effective.
Starting at 50%, Mayong will begin to emote: The Master raises his
sword. A few seconds later, anyone within line of sight of MM
will be DT'ed.
Bane mechanic
Each bane weapon click can
damage MM and the mobs listed below. Aside from MM, there are 4
types of mobs in this event: Gargoyles, Orc, Wolf, Spider.
Depending on your class, you only use your bane on a specific mob
type. Further, you will only use it when and as instructed.
Gargoyles:
Karaghli of the Obsidian Claw
R`kazzi of the Obsidian Claw
Xiamocha of the Obsidian Claw
Yurrexxith of the Obsidian Claw
Orc: Ur-Tsigrac Lochmaul
Spider: Ali-Ani the Drainer
Wolf: Altaire, Moon`s

mayong states
MM becomes susceptible to bane weapon clicks when he enters one of two states: Vulnerable or Distracted. Each state gives us a window of opportunity for one or more clicks:
Vulnerable allows 1 bane click
Distracted allows 3 bane clicks
Be aware of these two states, as when we call on you for MM clicks, we'll also instruct which state you are to click within. This is critical, as clicking in the wrong state results in different affects and/or a wasted click.
during the battle
For the initial few minutes of the event, you'll use your bane click
on the mob type it can damage.
Once you've used your weapon, it takes 12 minutes to refresh.
This is the point in the fight where we focus on finishing killing any
guards that are still alive, and engage MM.
Pay close attention to the banes channel at this stage, as we'll be
monitoring when banes should be refreshed and lining up clickers for MM.
