Time: 8pm EST, 7pm CST, 5pm PST

overlord mata muram - crowd control team

This page is set up to describe what people assigned to the CC team will be doing during the Overlord Mata Muram  event.

initial setup

In order for things to go smoothly and to expedite our setup prior to and during engagement, the channel will have a leader in charge of instructing what needs to be done.

All the associated chat will be co-ordinated in the following channel:

FLCC
Password: cc
Leader: Nuvane, Breniar

Note: If the above leader(s) isn't online, someone else will be in charge of setting up CC and it'll be made clear who that person is in the channel.

For this particular event, the person in charge is carefully chosen and it's important to please follow his / her instructions.   If you're not sure on any element of what's being explained, please ask in the FLCC channel.  There's no need to be shy about anything, if you ask in the channel, someone else may not have understood the same thing and it benefits everyone by having it clarified.

mobs involved

Mob Name: Coerced Lieutenant
Hits: 3500+

Note: Two of these spawn and are charmable.

Mob Name: Frenzied Lasher
Hits: 1000

Note: Spawn four at a time and have low hps.

event overview

The section marked below in RED, is what CC will be handling.

Overlord Mata Muram is triggered via hailing.

Once triggered, 2 Coerced Lieutenants spawn on each side of the room.

During the event, OMM will target a person in the raid (a person who has a Mirrored Mask) and emote to them: You feel a gaze of deadly power focusing on you.

The person has to quickly click their mask or they suffer an AE (Mata Muram's Gaze) and OMM will get stronger.

After the mask click, OMM stops attacking for a moment and agro is reset.  Shortly after, he resumes attacking.

Additionally, during the event, Frenzied Lashers will spawn 4 at a time, at various spots (See above for mob details).

At 80%, OMM acts like AMV and will start casting Mark of Death (DT).

enchanters

You'll be charming the 2 Coerced Lieutenants.  They'll need Haste and Debuffs.

Things to know:

Facing out from the cubby, (as if you're facing OMM from port up), the Coerced Lieutenant on the RIGHT side blurs.  That means when he's charmed, he'll constantly need attention in with /pet attack.

The Coerced Lieutenant on the LEFT side is normal and doesn't blur.

The Leader of FLCC will tell you which Lieutenant you'll be charming.

It'll be worth taking a the few seconds on set up to get each Lieutenant debuffed first before charming if possible.

During the fight:

Keep a tight leash on your pet.  That means, when OMM does his reset, he'll be pathing back towards the middle.  When you see this happen, you must back your pet off.  It's crucial in that we want a clean resetting of RT and pull to re-engage.

While OMM does his reset and your pet is backed off.  Use your pet to help kill the adds.  Your hasted pet makes quick work out of those low hp adds!

rangers

On set up, you'll be snaring both Coerced Lieutenants.

Get snare on the Lieutenant on the initial set up.  If possible, when charm breaks try and refresh the snare.

If you're in a group with another snarer (druid), try and co-ordinate your snares with him so you don't overlap.  Having a snare hotkey here might be helpful.

Your roles are divided here, since you'll also be in charge of debuffs on OMM as described in another section.  However, I'm confident you can handle both of these tasks.

paladins & shadowknights

In case charm breaks, you must snap agro the pet and offtank it until it's charmed again.

Your primary role here is to protect your Enchanter and make sure that pet doesn't gank anyone when charm breaks.

Keep RGC memmed, in case you or one of your group members gets marked for death (same as AMV DT mark)

Important:  Paladins have a weapon that has a proc which does a group cure.   If this proc goes off, it'll cure the tash on a charmed pet.  If possible, please check your weapon and make sure you don't use it during the fight.

Note:  Be aware that during the event, some lashers (adds) target and spawn on random people.  Those people get an emote.  So it's very possible that you may have adds on your group members.  Pull them off and bring them over to the groups killing the adds.

clerics

You must keep your enchanter alive at all costs.

Keep DI on yourself and your enchanter at all times.

Everytime DI is up, if you have a moment, cycle it on other members of your group as needed.

Keep RGC memmed, in case you or one of your group members gets marked for death (same as AMV DT mark)

shaman & druids

Backup healer, snarer and curer

Layered healing never hurts.  Backup healing in this group can really save us when something goes bad with the pet.

Druids: Try and co-ordinate your snares if possible with the ranger in group.  Having a hotkey here may be helpful.  You may have no ranger and be responsible for snares.

Keep cures handy as well, in case you or one of your group members gets marked for death (same as AMV DT mark).

bards

Backup charmer, debuffer, possibly initial puller of the Coerced Lieutenants.

Whether you're in this group or in a DPS group depends on how many pullers we have at the time.

I'm just covering your class here in case we put you in that situation.

mages

Debuffs on the Coerced Lieutenants.

You may not be in the same group as the enchanter, but be asked to be in the FLCC channel or given a tell regarding the debuffs of the pets.

Your roles are divided also, since your main asset is DPS on the adds.

Again, just covering your class here to give a heads up.
